There are a lot of software applications out there developed by Visual Vision – many of them we’ve covered here on FindMySoft. Out of the many Visual Vision-developed applications out there, I would like to draw attention to the functionality provided by CD FrontEnd LITE.

This free piece of software allows you to do one simple thing: create autorun CDs or DVDs. The person you give the CD or DVD to needs only put it in his CD-ROM or DVD-ROM; once he does so, the CD/DVD will play and that person will be shown a web-like presentation. You can put anything on the CD/DVD: catalogs, brochures, business cards, file archives, a software collection, anything.

As I mentioned above, CD FrontEnd LITE is a free piece of software – which is nice. Not having to pay for a great piece of software is always a nice thing. There is a downside though: there are several products in the CD FrontEnd range, and the LITE version is the baby in the CD FrontEnd range. Sure, it doesn’t cost a thing, but for a missing price tag you get missing features. Alongside the LITE version there’s the Standard, Pro and Gold version of CD FrontEnd. As you can imagine, the number of features increased from the Standard to the Pro and then to the Gold version.

Getting back to CD FrontEnd LITE, there are some additional bits and pieces you are going to like. You’re going to like the fact that it will take but a moment to download the application (download weighs in at close to 3MB) and even less than that to install the application (run the file you downloaded, select the installation folder, hit Install). You are also going to like that CD FrontEnd LITE works with just about any version of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system, including the latest iteration, Windows 7.
